I play in a 6x6, H 2 H daily transaction keeper league that counts OPS and holds. I was wondering if I should accept this offer in a keeper league:
I give: Alex Rodriguez (3B) Felix Hernandez (SP) Brandon Morrow (SP)
I get: Davis Wright (3B) Josh Johnson (SP) Chad Billingsley (SP)
Under our keeper rules, A-Rod, Wright and Felix are all non-keepable for next year. Josh Johnson can be kept for next year (as can Morrow and Billingsley).
I am thinking I should do this, but my vision might be clouded by being a Mets fan and not wanting to have to root for A-Rod all year long. I am also worried that getting rid of Felix would be too much of a hit to my starting pitching. So, I wanted some other opinions.
As always, I'll answer any of yours in return - just post a link.
Here is my current roster:
C: Buster Posey (C, 1B) 1B: Prince Fielder (1B) 2B: Kelly Johnson (2B) 3B: Alex Rodriguez (3B) SS: Starlin Castro (SS) LF: Jason Bay (LF) CF: Jacoby Ellsbury (LF, CF) RF: Jason Heyward (RF) Util: Ike Davis (1B)
SP: Felix Hernandez, Cole Hamels, Brandon Morrow, Javier Vazquez, Jake Peavy, Jordan Zimmerman, A.J. Burnett RP: Joakim Soria, J.J. Putz, Drew Storen, Brandon League, Daniel Bard
DL: Johan Santana (when he is DL eligible)
Thanks, guys!

Thanks, Hootie. Anyone else for or against this, before I make a final decision?
Thanks.

My gut says you are giving up too much this year for keepers for next year. Depends on how you think this year will play out. I'd lean towards standing pat unless you can get a bit more.
