Slow auction in progress...have $10 left for 4 spots...WHIR!

12 team Roto standard 5x5 cats...C, 1b, 2b, 3b, ss, mi, ci, 4 of, 1 ut, 7 p, 9 bench
1475 innings max
Keep any 8 players (price goes up $3 x # of years kept)

My team is below. I have 4 bench spots left with $10 to spend. What positions should I target? I'm thinking at least 1 more catcher, but don't know what else. Should I take a chance on some prospects or go with some cheap vets? (prospects will take up a bench spot, there are no prospect rosters). Some prospects left who might make an immediate impact...Pineda, Belt, Lyles, also Hosmer and Trout

Definitely need a Catcher for one of the spots. You may want to look at someone with multi-position eligibility for your MI as well in case someone goes down. Maybe a nice cheap power bat as well in case a CI or OF goes down to plug into that hole as well. Then maybe spend the last spot on a youngster with promise.

thanks for answering mine. I agree I would look for a Position player with C eligibility or at least a good backup. Always invest more in pitching instead of position backups though. You can usually find a backup player on the WW if one of your starters go down. Harder to find real good pitching if available.

I would definitely invest in Pineda and Trout honestly. Hosmer would also be good, but I think he's futher a way and more of a ? ..

But only get them if you think you can really hold off a year or 2. Because it might take them that long, all though I think both will be up by the beginning of next season.

Especially in a keeper league man, you need another catcher here. Martin might not make it to the halfway point of the season, regardless of how bad Jesus Montero's defense is. I would go for Pineda too, they said its his rotation spot to lose at this point and that kid can pitch. My understanding is Hosmer isn't much of a question mark either, he's supposed to be a stud.
