Which 20 to keep?

Postby suckerpuncher » Mon Mar 14, 2011 6:26 am

In our 12 team H2H league we have to keep 20 guys.

Scoring: R, 2B, 3B, HR, RBI, SB, BB, K, AVG, OPS - W, L, SV, ER, BB, K, HLD, WHIP, K/9, BB/9

Roster: C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, LF, CF, RF, Util, Util, SP, SP, RP, RP, P, P, P, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, DL, DL, DL, DL, DL

As you can see we play 2 Utils, play the OF positions and have 10 batter spots. But I think I don't need to keep more than 11-12 batters.

My team:
C: John Buck (C)
1B: Prince Fielder (1B)
2B: Dan Uggla (2B)
3B: Michael Cuddyer (1B,3B,RF)
SS: Jason Bartlett (SS)
LF: Ryan Raburn (1B,2B,LF,CF,RF)
CF: Adam Jones (CF)
RF: Vladimir Guerrero (RF)
Util: Franklin Gutierrez (CF)
Util: Jason Heyward (RF)
BN: Carlos Beltran (CF)
BN: Martin Prado (1B,2B,3B)
BN: Kendry Morales (1B)

SP: Edwin Jackson
SP: Mat Latos
SP: Dan Haren
SP: Derek Holland
SP: John Danks
SP: Adam Wainwright
SP: Wade Davis
SP: Jhoulys Chacin
SP: Homer Bailey
SP: Tommy Hunter
SP: Aaron Harang
SP: Bronson Arroyo

RP: Neftali Feliz
RP: Joakim Soria
RP: Octavio Dotel

I'd like to keep Waniwright even if he's gone for the year and I think with 20 keepers total there should be a spot forhim.
Which 20 guys would you keep?

Thanks in advance.

You think he should keep Homer Bailey, Tommy Hunter, and Aaron Harang over John Danks and Jhoulys Chacin?

Danks and Chacin definitely should be kept, and I would be tempted to make room for Cuddyer by getting rid of either Bailey/Hunter/Harang

The flexibility Cuddyer provides would be nice but it depends who will be available in the draft - I'm assuming not much talent will be in the draft with each team keeping 20 guys
