Quick question WHIR

Postby Guzman24 » Sun Mar 13, 2011 8:55 pm

Roto keeper league. I have first pick.

Top 2 players on the board are Teix and Kemp.

My Keepers are: Cano, Tulo, MCab

Do I snag another power bat in Teix and slot him in at UT or do I grab the power/speed combo in Kemp who carries more risk?

I might lean on Kemp... Part of last year is bad luck looking at his drop in BABIP. OF is kinda shallow this year too. And he's still very young.
Teix on the other hand will probably put of great numbers, provided you ride out his usual slow starts.
Ask yourself how you look to do on steals, and your OF situation. If you need help there, go Kemp.

Help please? :) http://www.fantasybaseballcafe.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=423958

I'm not a fan of Tex's slumps, so I'd go for Kemp.

I'll roll the dice with Kemp. A few worries about him but if he figures things out (and with a new manager I think he will) then you get a top 20 player and another keeper for next year.

TEX. Take the best player available and thats clearly Tex. Kemp had one season worthy of being a top pick, tex has proven he belongs at the top of the draft and hits in a friendly ballpark (esp for lefties) in a stacked lineup. If he is off to a slow start you can always fill his utility spot to help get you through it, but he's the better of the 2.
