I asked about my last 2 keepers couple days ago.. thanks for the replies

I ended up with Pujols, longoria,, kemp, Stanton, BJ Upton, Grienke, CCSab, Cain as my 8 keepers.

Yahoo H2H ... 12-teams league
Roster: C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, OF, OF, OF, Util, SP, SP, RP, RP, P, P, P, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, DL
Hitters stat: R, H, HR, RBI, SB, K, E, Avg, OPS
Pitchers: W, SV, BB, K, ERA, WHIP

As mentioned, I'm supposed to have the first overall pick (snake draft)... .but the commish put me at #3 in the draft. I already told him he got it wrong but he still thinks he's correct... not sure what he's looking at :-S

Anyway, whoh should I take as #1 (or potentially #3)? I'm thinking 2B... a few top ranked avilable batters:

Brandon Phillips - 2b, Suzuki - of, McCann - c, Bruce - of, Rios - of, M.Young - 3b
.........
Drew-SS, Kelly Johnson-2b, Andrus-SS, B.Roberts-2b, Zobrist -1/2b/of, Fural -ss, Sandoval-1/3B, Wieters-C

If I do draft #1, Phillips at 2B seems like the best choice yeah? But if i draft #3 and Phillips is taken (neither of the 2 teams that are currently mistakenlyy drafting ahead of me have 2B keeper), who should I take? Reach down to Kelly Johnson? Or take a pitcher? (top FA pitchers, Marmol, Rivera, Feliz). Abit tricky to pick #3.... Oh and drafting is tonight :(

I'm really tempted to draft another OF too.... but with 3 missing position (C,2B, SS), having already 3OF keepers, should I really get another OF??

2b is what you should draft IMO. If you draft a SS, then you are reaching quite a bit. I am waiting till very late if I don't get the top 3, looking at the projections of the SS position, very little separates those drafted in rounds 5 through 20. Very little high reward candidates at the SS position.

C is not a position to reach for either, but it will fill a hole with solid production, he is in the top tier at his position.

Ok, I got my first overall pick back finally :-B

So it's Brandon Phillips at 2B for my first pick for sure then I guess?!

I'll say Phillips as well. McCann would be my next choice. He's a top catcher and a reliable one at that. Getting his kind of production from the C position is a great thing.

Taking another OF here wouldn't be a good move.

Heh I had McCann but I didn't keep him, as others were suggesting in my previous thread (link in the first pos). Position rarity vs better production?? tough choice
