This guy scares me...not only injuries just seems like a headcase, has pitched horribly in spring training so far...In a CBS head to head league who would you keep...LIRIANO or CRUZ?
Already Keeping: Hanley, Votto, Victor Martinez, Kemp, Lester, Hanson, Cain....
Its a CBS head to head POINTS league...Pitching is alot more important in these type of leagues...otherwise I'd be all over cruz and not even considering...
I like to keep offense over defense, but I chose to keep Liriano over Kemp (he is used at my 22nd pick though). I think Cruz is an injury risk too, maybe not as much as Liriano though.
Keep in mind, Min. may try to trade Liriano and could be very useful in pinstripes. His stats last year were what they were when he first came in the league, very dominating. Spring training is not a telling sign of a pitchers projected performance (although it can hinder a little bit).
Yes. Liriano is a legitimate ace. There are injury concerns, yes, the but the reward is significant, especially in your league format. I assume you are talking about Nelson Cruz, who has always had nagging injury problems that have kept him from the top tiers. And God forbid he ever be traded away from TEX, his road splits are mediocre at best. Bottom line, keep Liriano.
I am a big proponent of offense over defense as players play 140-162 games per year and pitchers start 30-35 times. However, as a fellow member of a CBS keeper league, pitching may be at a premium. I would go with Liriano over Cruz at this point, especially since Liriano may end up a Yankee at some point this year.

how has cain had a history of arm problems? hes actually never been hurt, ever...when liriano has plenty if injury problems...dont know how u could mess that one up
