12 team NL only 10 player keeper standard 5x5.
I have a trade on the table and it leaves me basically the same amount of money for the auction. Here is the deal with keepers. You have a player under control for three years. On the third/option year you can offer the player a long-term contract for the current salary plus 5 dollars for year added on. The trade is Doc for Zim and Strasburg (I personally am never worried about tommy john)
I will have in Option one:
David Wright for this year
Ryan Zimmerman for two more seasons
Strasburg for two more seasons after this one for $5 and then can add 2 more seasons for $15 a piece, three more for $20 a piece (so basically 5 seasons for an average of $12)
Leaves me in search for an ace for this year maybe two if unlucky. Rest of P: Jurggens, travis wood, brian wilson, leubke, and aj happ with plenty of opportunity to upgrade in auction.
Option two:
Keep Wright and Doc for this year only
What's your thought and WHIR with a link. Thanks!
