5x5 Roto Auction, 10 team keeper, keep 8, $300 salary, deep bench, 13/9 (2C) lineups. Best 2b available is Uggla (assuming Utley is deflated in value due to the major injury concrns). Other decent guys available are Weeks, Prado and Roberts. What have you seen these guys go for typically and who would you target for value? I am thinking Prado is a good fallback option if Uggla's price get's out of control. Uggla I am thinking goes for 25-35. Prado I have no idea. Opinions?
I really like Roberts this year in a much approved Baltimore lineup. He was pretty solid from when Buck took over the reigns. You might be able to get him pretty cheap. Not to crazy about Prado, rather have extra dollars to put towards someone else at another position.

Problem is Roberts is having more back issues and is hardly a picture of health himself.
I think 2B is a position where you have to spend extra $$. Pay the money for Uggla - 30+HR's, 100+runs, 100+RBI's are numbers far and above other 2B options.

I do not disagree, but there are a number of other owners thinking the same thing I suspect. Someone might go crazy and bid it up into insane territory and I need to have a backup plan in case Uggla's price goes into the mid-30's+.
How about Neil Walker? Decent power. Decent average and will steal some bases. But as far as not selecting a player that could help your team because you AREN'T a fan? I never understood that thinking. Its like a Red Sox fan not wanting any Yankee players on his team.

Not a fan in the respect that I think Hill is not that good. Really do not like guys that are one year wonders and then go out and pull a Carlos Pena on you. The man hit 205 last year. He has the potential to single handledly destroy you in the avg category. My theory with guys like this is to let someone else deal with the headache.
I ended up getting Prado and Kelly Johnson on the cheap. Prado for $7.
