I'm in a 10 team roto keeper league, traditional 5x5 + OPS/QS. We get to keep 4 players from last year's final roster, and I'm kind of waffling on who my final 2 keepers should be for this year.
I finished 2nd (by a point!) last year, so I have the 9th pick in this draft. Here's my starting roster: C: Posey 1B: Pujols 2B: Phillips 3B: Longoria SS: Furcal OF: Kemp, Holliday, Rios Util: Adrian Gonzalez
Obviously Pujols and Longoria are solid keepers, but I'm struggling for my last two between A-Gon, Kemp and Holliday. I think Adrian Gonzalez is going to have a monster year, but he'd only be eligible as a UTIL on my roster; I think Kemp will have a bounceback year, but will he out-produce Holliday's reliable .300/30/100 seasons?
I think I would go with Kemp and Holliday. They are studs and will put up great numbers this year. It also gives you more flexibility going into the draft.
+1 on this. I wouldn't be too concerned with AGon's shoulder as he appears to be progressing ahead of schedule. Holliday consistently produces. I'd rather not take the risk on Kemp with my first 5 players.
Well said, consistency out of keepers. Both are very reliable injury wise though. I bet you could use AGON/Pujols as trade bait which could net you a player like Tulo, Hanley, CGon etc. you get the point.
