Rank my draft options, WHIR

I'll be drafting 6th in a 16 team 5x5 roto keeper league where we start 1 C, 1 1B, 1 2B, 1 3B, 1 SS, 4 OF, 1 Utility, 8 Pitchers.

I'm going to be keeping Votto (1B), McCutchen (OF), and Youkilis (1B (3B after 5 games).

The best available players will be;

1B - Tex, Fielder, Fielder
3B - Zimmerman, A-Rod
SP - Halladay, Felix

How would you rank these guys for MY TEAM, based on who I kept? If I take a 1B he will have to sit for the first 5 games of the season until Youkilis gains 3B eligibility. If I take a 3B or SP they will be in my lineup from the start as Youkilis can start at my utility position. So if this were you, who would you take?

Zim, Doc, Tex, Felix..... I could even take Tex second. I am just about value in bats.

Some debate as you have all these positions already, but I like the value in bats. Nice to get an ace too. Good luck!

Doc, Tex, Zimm, Felix. I don't think you can pass up on a guy like Doc with 1B and 3B already covered for you.

halladay and felix, since you already have (or will have in 5 games) quality 1b and 3b. no need to have that big of backups, go for the pitching now!

I would say Halladay then Felix. You're keeping a 1B and 3B already, no need to pick up reserves that good.

I would take Halladay then Felix. you would have a top 2 SP to anchor your staff as opposed to a guy you have to play at UT all season. While the power never hurts, having a little flexibilty with your UT is nice. Add in fact that you will get a guy who is the best at his position rather than 4th-5th best and i thinks its a no brainer.

If both pitchers are gone then i would go Tex, Fielder, Zimm, Arod.
Youk is far more valuable at 3B than 1B, so youre going to want to move him there. And i expect the Prince/Tex to put up much better numbers than the 3B available, and youll essentially be playing them in the same position. So get the most value you can there.
Just pick up a 3B late in teh draft, preferrably with multi-postion eligibilty (figgins/cuddyer/etc?), that you can use till Youk has played enough games at 3B> then you can just use the extra guy as a fill in for off days/injuries etc. or cut him if he has no further value.

I would not allow the first five games of the season mold your team and prevent you from taking the best available player. I also see that you have a ratio of 10/8 for hitters to pitchers where traditional leagues are 14/9 so pitchers are a bit more important. That being said, I would probably rank the available players as follows given that pitching should still be very deep:

Tex, Fielder, Rod, Zimmerman, Halladay, Felix

Zimm, Tex are close in my book, but I favor Zimm as he has yet to reach his prime (yummy!)

Doc and Felix are closely thereafter.

I just don't think you can draft a pitcher solely based on keeping a 1B/3B. Take the best player available and roll with Zimm!

So the consensus seems to be between Doc, Zimm or Tex. Is there a 3 sided coin? I love the idea of adding another monster bat to my team, but I also really like the idea of grabbing a true #1 pitcher. I don't think this is going to be an easy decision.
