MSNBC is reporting that three plants are now in serious trouble.

All of the plants are supposed to be designed to contain 100% of leaks, but...

I just saw the prime minister of Japan say it was a hydrogen explosion and that the public is in no danger of any radioactivity leaking out at the moment. That's a big relief for now.

It's scary to say that I'm starting to hope their containment facility is okay, because a meltdown seems almost inescapable at this moment.

The toll from a magnitude-8.9 earthquake in Japan could exceed 10,000 in the hardest-hit prefecture of Miyagi alone, police said on Sunday, as other officials tried to reassure the public that reactors at two damaged nuclear power plants posed no immediate danger.
