Those farm buildings are 10-15 feet high, and they are just disappearing under the waves, one right after the other. and just when you think it has stopped, miles inland, you realize that those are cars on top of the water, and the water just keeps pushing them along. I bet that tsunami was bigger than 20 feet, easily.

simply amazing to watch.

Just turned on the news, something was on fire, then like ten minutes of completely normal city scene (OH NO THERE "MIGHT" BE A TRAFFIC JAM), then some dude started telling me to evacuate in Japanese. Boring

The tsunami would have to do an epic dog leg around Australia to get me down here.
Sad for the Japanese people, they seem to go through earthquake related crap all the time. :,-(

A TSUNAMI HAS BEEN GENERATED THAT COULD CAUSE DAMAGE ALONG COASTLINES OF ALL ISLANDS IN THE STATE OF HAWAII. URGENT ACTION
SHOULD BE TAKEN TO PROTECT LIVES AND PROPERTY. THE ESTIMATED ARRIVAL TIME IN HAWAII OF THE FIRST TSUNAMI WAVE IS 0259 AM HST FRI 11 MAR 2011

Tsunamis specialize in dog legs.

TSUNAMI WAVE HEIGHTS CANNOT BE PREDICTED AND THE FIRST WAVE MAY NOT BE THE LARGEST. TSUNAMI WAVES EFFICIENTLY WRAP AROUND ISLANDS. ALL SHORES ARE AT RISK NO MATTER WHICH DIRECTION THEY FACE.
