To Utley or not to Utley?

5x5 Roto, 10 team auction keeper, keep 8. 13/9, 2c rosters. $300 cap with contracts.

At this point with the injury concerns, would you keep Utley at $8 over one of Posey at $5\Zimmerman at $16\Sabathia at $21? I can give all anything from 1 to 4 year contract I am leaning toowards letting Utley walk at this point since I figure his price is dropping and he is likely not running at all even if he plays. Opinions?

I wouldn't keep him over Posey or Zimmerman, but I would consider him over CC. $8 is still a bargain if Utley is healthy.

Who are your other keepers besides those listed above? Anyone potentially more droppable?

No they are all locks.
Tex $19, Tulo $13, Longoria $6, Crawford $4 and Halladay $26.

Auction inflation is pretty bad and CC would likely cost $30+ to get back. Utley was a no-brainer at $8, but if he isn't going to play\is not healthy he is not helping me. Plus with health concerns at this point, I would think his auction price would be deflated anyway...how deflated I have no idea.

Utley is easily the best value here. I wouldn't keep CC at $21 even if his value is at $30. The player I like the most is Zimmerman at $16 which is still a very nice value for a top 3B who is just entering into his prime.

Utley at $8 is the best good deal. depends when you draft, if its pretty soon and Utley's status is still up in the air, I'd keep Zimmerman. You might be able to get utley back for around $8

$8 is definitely a good price, but...I heard on the radio yesterday that he is getting a cortisone shot in his knee every day and is considering surgery.
Who knows.
