Postby dukefan » Wed Mar 09, 2011 1:46 pm

This is a dynasty money league so whoever I keep I can keep them for the next 4-5 seasons if I wanted to and didn't trade them so keep that in mind.

We get 8 keepers

2B: Cano ****
3B: Gordon Beckham
SS: Hanley Ramirez ****
OF: Mike Stanton****

SP: Cole Hamels****

SP: Edwin Jackson
CL: Andrew Bailey
CL: Kevin Gregg

Looks good to me.......

Cano
H-Ram
Stanton
Ellsbury
Sabathia
Grienke
Hamels
Latos

That rotation should keep you solid for years.

I could make a case for keeping Weiters, I think he finally busts out this season, and having a nice young catcher is a good thing to have in a Dynasty.

Like your choices, but I'd get Beckham back as quickly as possible. I see a major rebound for him on a very good offense. Plus, he's a 2B now.

Wish I had something to disagree with but I don't...

Only thing I'd look into is if other squads are keeping their closers or not cuz that could alter your decision process a bit

The only thing I can see different is perhaps Beckham over Ellsbury. I don't like keeping 4 SPs out of 8 keepers, but it'd be hard to cut any of them.

Help?

I'd keep Weiters or Beckham over Ellsbury anyday. I've said it before, but Ellsbury is basically a glorified Rajai Davis and has no place on your dynasty keepers. Speed is probably the easiest thing to find on the WW throughout the season. Weiters failed miserably last season but he's young and has all the tools to succeed, plus some time under his belt and a better supporting cast. Beckham likewise.

I'd keep either of them over Ellsbury. But this aside, the rest of your keepers are rock-solid.

So I decided to shop some of my pitching to try and pick up more hitting and got offered this
David Wright + Andre Ethier FOR Mat Latos and Cole Hamels..

my keepers now would be
hanley ramirez
robinson cano
david wright
mike stanton
andre ethier
jacoby
ellsbury
cc sabathia
zach greinke

should i pull the trigger or keep my 4 pitching 4 hitting type scenario above?
