As Speier explains in a piece for Baseball America, Ryan Westmoreland, who underwent brain surgery last March, is continuing his attempt to return to the majors. The former top prospect has made impressive strides in his recovery, though his vision hasn't returned completely and he's still working on some fine motor skills. Best of luck to Westmoreland as he recovers.

No vision and lacking fine motor skills for a pitcher. Yikes. I didn't realize how bad this was. Pretty much a non-prospect imo now.

Westmoreland was mentioned as an alternative to Frazier/Lambo since both of them are fairly unimpressive in every way. but it's worse since eyesight is probably more important to a hitter.

tbh I would pick up a guy like Carlos Perez (ATL) or Enny Romero before a low upside guy like Frazier/Lambo or a newly signed int'l prospect like Heredia. Yambati/Ventura from KC are another pair of upside rk ball arms to play the lottery with. I'm in a really deep league and I load up my roster with these types and every year a couple of them fly up the prospect lists. And the ones that become exposed in full season ball are easy to dump and pick a few different upside guys.
