I bought a 42" LG, 1080P LCD with Wireless WiFi and i love it. With the WiFi I can stream Youtube vids on it and get Netflix movies.

Damn. Completely missed this thread last time around. For anyone looking for a new TV, I have found that 720p is sufficient for below 40". Most people can't tell the difference and, if so, it's negligible. Anything above is where I would be paying close attention to all of the specs. Prices have come down to where I wouldn't ignore extra bells and whistles for a smaller set but I would only buy 1 if the cost was extremely minimal.

I would probably pass on both HDTV's.

I worked at Target (during a long stretch of trying to find a real job - no offense to Target employees) and we left our TV's on 18 hrs a day. The Element and Westinghouse TV's were the first to begin freezing on a regular occasion.

I would give this website a check if you're looking for a good deal on a TV: http://slickdeals.net/forums/forumdispl ... =9&intagid[]=679
Add the "[]=679 to the end of the link to filter by HDTV's. 5 Thumbs up is the highest a thread can achieve, and thus it is a great deal.

A few of their top deals:
55" Sony LED 3D HDTV for $1399 from Fry's. You're paying for the 3D feature here, so if you don't want a 3D you should be able to find a similar TV for $100-200 less easy.
40" Phillips HDTV from Target for under $300. Smaller than what you're looking for, but if you can find one it's a good deal.
47" LG w/ Wifi and 3D from Frys for $799. Not too bad. LG makes a pretty good TV.

You get what you pay for though.
