Best Targets in This Keeper League? WHIR

Postby GamerJOW » Mon Mar 07, 2011 8:41 pm

My Yahoo 5x5 Keeper league will be drafting next weekend, with my keepers listed in my sig. None of my previous "Keeper" leagues ever managed a second year in existence, so this is somewhat uncharted territory for me. (I was going to keep Wainwright instead of Naps, but you know how that turned out). Based on where I finished in the draft last year, I'll be drafting 9th. I'm trying to decide which of the following 30 players I should target/expect in my first couple of rounds?

ARod, Bautista, ABeltre, RWeeks, DJeter, Morales, BButler, AlRam, ARios, CSantana, ArRam, SVictorino, BJUpton, PAlvarez, MStanton.

Kershaw, Marmol, Rivera, THanson, Feliz, BWilson, Latos, FLiriano, Gallardo, HBell, Oswalt, Papelbon, Scherzer, Putz, Marcum
CLee,Tex, JHamilton, Kinsler, CYoung, Napoli

I'd target 3B first (Arod or Bautista)
looks like nothing is available for SS, so that can wait

with no SP's, I'd target 2 of the following:
Kershaw, THanson, Latos, FLiriano, Gallardo

good luck...

Thanks for the quick reply.

ARod and Bautista will almost certainly be the first 2, or 2 of the 1st 3, taken, so I'll be highly surprised to see them fall to me at 9. Alexei Ramirez (AlRam) is a SS and on the available list; do you project that he'd fall that far? I have similar doubts about Kershaw and possibly THanson making it to the 9th pick, let alone the 16th...
