We haven't submitted keepers, so I was trying to upgrade my keepers. I tried getting Longoria, but he says he would rather keep him and instead trade me David Wright for my Matt Kemp.
I already have Ryan Zimmerman at 3B, but am leaning towards pulling the trigger. If nothing else, I can move Zimmerman after the re-draft to a team desperate for a 3B. Is this worth it for me? It doesn't upgrade my keepers much, but it's all that I've been able to work with. I'm also going to deal Gallardo for Weeks or Ethier, but I don't think either one will be kept (no one in my league is interested in 2-for-1's lol)
Here is my team, keepers are bolded.
C Buster Posey 1B Joey Votto 2B Kelly Johnson 3B Ryan Zimmerman SS Derek Jeter OF Carlos Gonzalez OF Matt Kemp (Would then become keeping David Wright) OF Mike Stanton Util Vladimir Guerrero Util Shane Victorino Bench Delmon Young Bench Adam Laroche
SP Josh Johnson SP Jon Lester SP Yovani Gallardo RP Mariano Rivera RP Bobby Jenks P Daniel Bard P Jonny Venters P Brett Anderson Bench Dan Haren Bench Tim Hudson Bench Ian Kennedy
The other option would be to try and get a second player that I would keep and send him 2 more...though that might be a tall order. Other players of his are: Heyward, Pedroia, Cliff Lee, Sabathia
I'd do it for sure bud...and you'd have an option of adding Delmon in his place since your swapping one keeper and need another one with the last slot, not a downgrade in my book.
The best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be!

If I do the deal, its one for one, so Wright would take Kemp's spot...I wouldn't have a spot to fill unless I dropped out of my current keepers (which I think the only one I can drop is Stanton).
I like the deal for you. You've got two solid OF keepers already in CarGo and Stanton, and gaining Wright gives you a lot of flexibility. With 3B being so shallow, you could probably deal Wright or Zimmerman later in the year for a nice haul (or hold onto them both and have two studly hitters).
