* eBay-style online preseason auction ends on 4 staggered dates in March
* sign minor lgers to long-term deals and build a farm system, or maximize payroll flexibility to go for the title
* limited keepers for MLBers
* team revenue is based on wins, so a low payroll team can be profitable without winning the league
* lge standings based on each team's Pythagorean W-L record (based on runs scored v runs allowed)
* runs created formula is used for hitters, while your pitching staff is judged on IP and runs allowed
* you can either take over existing team in its entirety, or start clean with a new team and maximum cap room
* we use CBSSportsline which has customizable stat reports, live scoring and chat
* $12 admin fee for CBSSportsline and webhosting for the auction site; $30 refundable deposit so you don't have to pay your team payroll up front
* $200 for 1st place, $15 for division winners, $15 penalty for division cellar-dwellers

Our league is in its 10th year. It's a good combination of fantasy and more realistic GM simulation. There's very little owner turnover and thanks to the keeper format, there is trade activity throughout the season.
