Keep Liriano in the 15th or Kershaw in the 5th? WHIR!

Postby phorts » Sun Mar 06, 2011 9:15 pm

12 Team H2H Standard Scoring Keeper (1 Pitcher, 1 Hitter)

Keeping Miggy in the 2nd and now got a dilemma at SP.

I think Kershaw is a top 10 SP this year EASY, maybe even top 5.... But he's gunna cost me a 5th if I keep him. with 24 top players being snaked before the draft, there is no chance in HECK i'm getting Kershaw back in the 5th, or 4th for that matter.

Or, I Keep Liriano and try to get Kershaw back with my #3 pick.. rough.

i REALLY want Kershaw but know the value is there with Liriano... What say thee?

Clearly Liriano, he should go like 80 picks higher, 5th round for Kershaw is about right, too much of a bargain with Liriano.

This is an easy one. You must keep the value player. Remember this, Kershaw is a stud, I am targeting him as well, but you get a SP in Liriano who could outperform Kershaw with a 15th v. 5th. The difference between the 2 is considered very small by most knowledgeable people. Another point is that the new Target field is deep to the gaps, the ball simply doesn't leave the park. Mauer had 1 HR at home last year and Morneau had only 4 of his 18 at home prior to the concussion. Yes I am from MN and a season ticket holder, BUT I am not a homer when it comes to fantasy players, I draft based on value and I think you are getting too much value in Liriano to pass it up.

Good luck

Liriano is the easy pick here.

I'd like keep Kershaw because I think you get the guy you want. Some will argue for Liriano, and it all has merits, but personally, I would not be looking back with any disgust in keeping Kershaw.

I am much more confident in his progress than Liriano. Pitching seems deep regardless. I take the player I want.

Looking for your return input....

I love Kershaw this year, but you have to go with Liriano at that value.

Only a round extra value in Kershaw. However Liriano has arm problems right now and got rocked for 5 runs in the first game. Have the same issue viewtopic.php?f=26&t=423758

I'd wait and see how the arm improves and if not go with the stud in Kershaw especially if he won't come back around
