I have a league with only 4 teams. The only way I can think to make this work is to have 60+ roster spots each.
How do you think it will work? Will it take away the entire point of fantasy baseball? Has anyone done something like this?

There is no need to have 60 roster spots if all are not going to be active. Make it either an AL or NL league. Everyone will have an All-Star team, but with four teams that is all you can do.

6 teams is the smallest I have played in. Baseball and hockey. I did a six team last year so I could get the feel for being an LM before I stepped it up this yeara to 16. One thing I have learned is that there is too many good players on waivers and not enough competition. I guess its almost to easy to win and other teams dont stay active because there really is not that much league activity with only 6 guys, unless you know them personally. Just my opinion though. I prefer more teams, slim waivers, and more competition.

We have seven teams in an AL-only with 40-man rosters and it works. I'd prefer eight teams, but seven is relatively competitive and workable. And there are still enough free-agent gems found throughout the year to keep it interesting, in addition to any big names that come over from the NL at the trade deadline. So managing your FAAB adds another competitive element. And we pay out to three teams (third gets money back) so I think five of our seven teams were in the hunt for something into September last year.
I agree with the others who have commented in that I prefer competition over rosters flooded with stars and people making waiver moves every 10 minutes.
