draft help needed

Postby abellone » Sun Mar 06, 2011 3:49 am

I am in a 10 team yahoo head to head league. I have the number 6 pick (not good). I was wondering who I should focus on in the first couple of rounds. Is it smart to just take the best player no mater what position for the first four or five rounds. Should I not take a pitcher until round 6?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. With Pujols, Hanley and Cabrerra guaranteed to go the first three I figure at number six I will get either tulo, cargo, or braun for my first pick.

I'd target Tulo or Braun in that order for the first round. Yes I take the best value in the first few rounds, but in head to head, I would increase the value of pitching. I wouldn't wait past round 3 or 4 for my first pitcher.

I would take the leftover of Votto, Longoria, or Braun.

I always look at it by Position Depth. I love Votto too, but 3B is so much less in depth, same with SS. So, keep that in mind.

Longoria, Votto or Cano for me. But I would definitely draft best player available. In a ten team league, I would be less worried about position eligibility and SP is going to be incredibly deep.

Tulo or Longoria. You can get Kinsler/Weeks/Morneau/Tex in the next couple of rounds.
