I am sorting out some trades I have int eh works. I have to trade Braun and McCab or lose them to draft. We can keep for three years, and then trade or lose them. Essentially, it is to promote trading. Few real stars go back to draft. We do get 11 keepers. I do not have to trade them in one deal. I can break them up.
Thoughts here. I ALWAY GET OTHERS ON FLIP SIDE. Leave the link!!!
May be my most biggest target.... I hate giving up the two first rounders, but I am getting some value in these three. I GIVE: Braun, Mig Cabrera, Another Piece I GET: Fielder, Lincecum, Lee
I GIVE: Braun, Mig Cabrera, Danks, Another Player who is not a keeper for me I GET: Cargo, Morneau, VMart, Gallardo I don't care for this with Morneau. We are playing with ideas. I have Youkilis who can play first.... This needs work I think.
This one is taking work. I don't want a huge piece of his CC. But we'll see where it goes. I GIVE: Mig Cabrera, He is looking at other pieces, including Papelbon and two others. I GET: Pujols, CC

I think if you can get Pujols/CC, you would have to do it. CC should grab a lot of wins even if his stats get hit a little bit.
The first trade isn't the worst thing in the world, but SP seems to be pretty deep. There are about 20 SPs who could produce what Lee did last year. Lince is nice, but not at the expense of MCab/Braun...but if you HAVE to move them or lose them, you could do a lot worse.
I definitely like the last deal because it's certainly not every day a guy gets a chance to get the league's best player and a 20 game winner in the same trade - especially when it's for a guy you would have to give up regardless. Another aspect I like about this deal is the fact that you aren't giving both Braun and MCab in the same deal and could trade Braun separately for another upgrade at a different position.
However, should this deal not work out, I think you are doing real well in the red deal and would feel good about pulling the trigger. I feel better about it if the Lee is Cliff and not either of Carlos or Derrek, though.
I like the can-only-keep-a-guy-for-three-years rule, but I am a big fan of trades and player movement.
If your losing Miggy and Braun why not throw them in the deal for Pujols and CC and maybe try to sneek another player because of the 2 solid players you are giving
Getting Pujol is always nice as he is the best player in the draft every year. Plus CC is solid also
If you can get Pujols, I think you do it. The Second trade is not great for your, at least as it currently stands, but if you're up again the gun and need to take pennies on the dollar, do it. I would consider the first trade to be a slight overpay, and I prefer to keep hitters, not pitchers, so I don't see getting Lincecum and Lee and Fielder to be worth Braun and Cabrera. Never good to be giving up the best two players in a deal. But again, if you need to unload guys in a hurry and sell at a discount, it's not horrible. Just not my favorite.
Personally, I work on the 3rd option as it leaves you Braun to fill in other areas with a 2nd trade. Getting Pujols and a top SP option for Miggy and pieces seems a no brainer. I don't like the 2nd option due to Morneau either. The 1st option isn't terrible, but you are relying a lot on Lincecum being his past self and not the 2010 self. He had a terrible run of 19 straight games, lost a little velocity, and then pitched deep into the playoffs...it makes me a bit nervous.
