Guys, you were great last year with your advice and it got me my 1st championship in a pay-for-play league!!
So the decision this year is who I should keep, need 3:
zimmerman youkilis uggla adrian gonzalez jeff weaver
I got the 5th overall pick with david wright utley longoria halladay pedroia lincecum and whoever I drop from the list above as the top available players.
Who should I keep and if halladay gets to me at 5 do I grab him. I am leaning zimmerman, gonzalez and uggla (for the positional scarcity) but I keep waffling between youkilis and uggla as the last keeper. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The 4th pick says he will pick whoever I drop so there is no chance I can pick my release player back up. Thank you.
Actually, I am going to give you a slight disgression: It would seem top 2b are being kept, so I'll differ just slightly
You have enough 3b on your roster and with so many stud 3b being kept throw Youk back and do this: 1b A. Gonzalez 2b Uggla 3b zimmerman
Doing this adds ANOTHER good 3b in the first round and it will increase the odds of getting the player you really want with your pick maybe Halladay or Tulowitzki? I'd take Uggla the safe option instead of hoping for an injury-plagued season out of Utley.
The best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be!
