12 Teams 5x5 8 Keepers H2H (we count OBP and QS instead of AVG and W)
I send: Teixeira, Reyes, Hart, Liriano
I get: Holliday, Zimmerman, N.Cruz
Right now my keepers are: Teix, Votto, Kemp, Kinsler, Reyes, Verlander, Price, JJ (Liriano is on the outside looking in)
If I pull off the deal they will be: Votto, Kemp, Zim, Kinsler, Holliday, Cruz and 2 of Verlander/Price/JJ
The manager I am trading with is a Hart fan and definitely needs another SP. His 8th keeper is also junk so Hart would be an upgrade. I already have Votto to play 1B so losing Teix is OK. Losing Reyes kind of sucks as I'd have to fill my SS position at the draft. That said, Reyes is extremely risky and to be honest I'm not all that sold on him. Plus I gain one of the best young 3B in the game and my OF will be stacked. I'll also free up my UT spot by trading away one of my 1B.
Value wise, I think the deal favors him but I actually prefer how my keepers look after making the trade.
So, should I go for it? And also, if he insisted on another one of my SP would you still consider it?
I like the trade for you and I would attempt to even try and make another move, like JJ and Cruz for a SS of some sort, you have a lot of room to make a 2 for 1 move for a weak position, but yes I love that move for you!
I like the trade for you. Losing Reyes is tough, but he's been unreliable the past couple of seasons, although the upside is there. I like Price a lot, but keeping JJ and Verlander is a no brainer. Also, being able to lose Teix and just slide Votto in as a replacement is an incredible thing to have.
I like the deal for you but also think you are getting the best side of the deal which makes me wonder if you can pull it off. I would let JJ go before Price myself.
