I am not new to fantasy baseball, but I am trying a new concept this season as LM. Can anyone please tell me what you think about this setup and possibly provide some input on improving it. Thanks in advance.
This is a 20 team keeper league that I have setup on ESPN. It has a 6X6 scoring, and 4 divisions. Here is the new concept I am having trouble finalizing and need help with.
I am letting the owners pick their own MLB team and giving them the option of picking up 3-5 players from that team. I am planing on having an auction draft and can't decide on what each teams auction draft should be, and here is why. Depending on the players the owners pick, I am planning on taking the auction value from that teams auction bank. I am also considering (haven't decided yet) of having the players that owners pick placed on a contract, with the first person they pick be the franchise player and a four year contract, and the next player a three year contract, 3rd player picked under a two year contract, and the remaining players under a 1 year contract. At the beginning of each new season the players contract salary will increase $5 until the contract runs out, or the player is traded or dropped. If an owner decideds to drop a player before a contract is up they have to pay the remainder of the contract from their season bank. I also can't decide on what a teams season bank should be.
I can do without the contracts, but thought it would add a unique twist. Can somone please help me with this idea as it is new to me from what I have done in the past.
Thank you.
