St. Louis SP Matias/Martinez

I know St Louis has a young SP that scouts are saying can really be incredible and has a good chance at jumping into the top echelon of prospects this year. His name is Carlos Matias but ive seen people talking about a SP name Carlos Martinez in the same light. Is this the same player and he goes by two names??? i want to pick him up in my dynasty league before anyone else finds out about him. CBS only has a Carlos Martinez in its database.......same person?

Yeah, it's the same person. My understanding is that he changed his name from Matias to Martinez this last year.

You should confirm the birth date (9/2/91) to be sure.

definitely the same guy.. Matias is a family member's name that he took. I guess he no longer wanted his given name for personal reasons, but he had to change it back to cross over

electric stuff, very raw.. i heard a team (not sure if it was the yankees or someone else) was trying to hide him at one point, but word eventually got out before the cards signed him

Definitely the same person. Is Shelby Miller off the board already?? I see him being the guy jumping in the rotation with Wainwright out and Carpenter's set back.
