last keeper, enough for Cliff Lee? WHIR

Postby dooho » Tue Mar 01, 2011 12:34 am

this is the last year of our keeper league and we are preparing for the upcoming draft. i have 4 very solid keepers, but can't really decide on the 5th. i'll list those below. i've been offered a trade a 2 for 1 that seems interesting, but im not sure and need some help. this is only for value pertaining to this year.

thanks and leave a link

4 keepers are:

halladay $19
lee $13
longoria $34
kemp $32

1 remaining to choose from:
rios $14
mccgehee $1

i have been offered the following deal:

get: mccutchen $20 and mike stanton $5
give lee $13

what do you think? does that give me a better 5 to keep?

Yes, i would probably do that deal since you already have halladay. Mccutchen is a bit expensive, but stanton is at a steal price. mcgehee is tempting at 1 dollar, but i like the potential you get with the other two. I'd do it.

lee is a great value at 13$ idk how i feel about mccutchen at 20$...i prolly wouldnt do the trade even though stanton at 5$ is a nice value. i also like mccgehee for 1$ protential 25 hr 100 rbis .290 type player for a 1$ at a shallow 3b position

I'd stay put. McCutchen at $20 isn't great and you have such a strong start for pitching that you can go into the auction and draft cheap back end fliers for your rotation. Stanton is very appealing but your five have you playing to win now. Trade Lee in a mid year deal if that's not the case.
