i'm in 1 AL only and 1 NL only 10 team nonkeeper 5x5 leauges.
I am strongly considering trying LIMA in one or the other (or both?) simply because I've never done it before and want to give it a go. Both leagues have a 1150 inning max which helps me if i do LIMA i think since hopefully every pitcher i draft will have a K/9 above 6.0.
So here are the questions pertinent to this post:
Which league do should i LIMA in and why?
factors: depth of LIMA profile pitchers, depth of quality set-up/middlemen men, closer volatility in AL
if anybody else out there is trying LIMA or has a pitcher that they think will come cheap with lots of upside, name them please.
factors: K/9>6.0, K:BB>2.0, HR/9 < 1.0, skill/situational upside, etc.
thanks guys.

What's LIMA?

I guess I am showing my ignorance, but I was wondering the same thing....

LIMA stands for low investment mound aces. in my opinion its better suited for the NL cause there seems to be more strikeout pitchers in the NL. it doesnt hurt that pitchers get to face the opposing pitcher 2-3 times a game.....

Great! Low Investment Mound Aces! I can see why it's called LIMA now.
I could hazard several guesses, but rather than do that, could someone explain the underlying theory here. If my guess is right, it's probably something I've been doing for the last couple years without knowing it had a cool acronym of its own.
