Price for Heyward? WHIR!

Postby chargerss24 » Mon Feb 28, 2011 12:34 am

I'm in a 12-team roto (standard stat + Holds/OBP) auction keeper league. As it is, I'm currently at 25.50, .50 under the cap with a catcher, corner and RP to bid on in the acution. I'm stacked in pitching and was wondering if I should move an arm for another bat. An owner has an interest in my David Price (1.70) and I have an interest in his Jason Heyward (1.90). Would you do thsi trade or stand pat? My team is below. WHIR as always! ;-D

Your pitching is stacked indeed, I would do the trade. Heyward can be your utility hitter for sure. I like both players, but I don't see Price with a 2.72 ERA again in 2011 while Heyward can develop into a major star.

Speaking of Price...do you draft him here? viewtopic.php?t=422861

That would be a nice straight up deal for you if you can pull it off.

Your pitching is indeed stacked. You have enough depth that you will be fine with your pitching if you trade Price. I would go for it because Heyward has major upside and could be good for a while.

He countered with Francisco Liriano for Price. :-/

Looks like it's a no-go.
