Better Pitcher to Keep

Jiminez or Hamels

Jiminez seems to be ranked by most sites slightly ahead of Hamels. Jiminez pitched lights out first half of season and then faltered. Hamels got stronger as the season went along. Jiminez pitches in Coors Field and serves as ace of staff. Hamels pitches in hitter friendly park but serves as 4th pitcher on a strong staff. Will this help him enough to be a better keeper than Jiminez. Would it hurt me to have to Phillies as my top two pitchers or am I better off keeping Jiminez for that reason.

I can only keep 1. Standard 5x5 roto scoring league, 12 teams.

My other keepers are
Braun
Wright
Kemp
Howard
Posey
Cliff Lee

Go with Ubaldo. He's got some of the filthiest stuff in baseball, and if he can clean up the walks a bit, he should be in for another great season.

I'll be the dissenting voice here.

Jimenez is great, but lost steam by the end of last year. Now that his catcher, Miguel Olivo, is gone, I'm a bit wary of the Rockies pitching staff in general. This is the same guy who helped Greinke get a CY Young award, and now he's in Seattle (Damn you, King Felix!) While Ubaldo is good, I think he's still a bit of a question mark-commodity.

Cole Hamels has two things going for him. A ridiculous finish to last season, and the fact that he'll be going up against the 4th starter for others teams (typically). Not to mention, he'll be pitching with a chip on his shoulder since he is becoming more and more of an afterthought in the media (certainly not in Philly-we love him, but moreso around the country).

I go with Cole.
(In reference to an Aaron Hill for David Price swap)
