Wieters is still a couple years from being a big time catcher option, whereas Alvarez could "arrive" as early as this year. However the argument against that is that you already have Longoria as a 3B, so it's up to you.
I like Hunter Pence a lot, and I'm not sure why he doesn't get more attention from people. He will hit close to .290, hit about 25 HRs, drive in 100 runs and steal 15-20 bases. How do you not like that?
And, I'm digging Brian Matusz this year. Combine that with the fact that Liriano is ALREADY having arm problems, and I'd go with the potential break-out pitcher of the year. He's getting hyped, but for good reason.
