Hey guys, been on the boards for about two years now but never registered until today. Love the site. On to the question now.
I'm in a 12 team H2H standard 5x5 league with 10 keepers. My current keeper list is as follows
Buster Posey -$4 Pedro Alvarez - $4 McCutchen -$6 Jay Bruce - $10 - Under contract Zobrist $7 - under contract Brett Anderson - $12 under contract Lester - $20 -under contract Marcum- $4- under contract Wandy Rodriguez $10 - under contract
My question is do I keep Clay Bucholz at $3 this year or ALex Rios at $8 for this year. I'm really undecided here. I can still move them for something but anyone who I receive in return must be kept. THanks in advance for any help.
Yea I couldn't agree more, i'm trying to make a few moves maybe a 2 for 1 somewhere to allow me to keep both, but right now i'm thinking the same as you about Rios. Thanks.

I would go this way. You got 2 aces (Lester and Anderson, a solid mid rotation starter in Marcum who fits that very build perfectly and a perfect back-end starter Wandy to keep. Just get one or two more upside arms and your pitching will be competitive.
You need Rios multi cat help and it should help give your team some nice balance. You can always find cheap pitching to give you wins, find Minor or the like on the cheap. Plus 1b is so deep you should be able to snag a good one in the draft (maybe Butler, Konerko, Morneau cheaper or somene like that)
Both arte great prices, and I can see issue.... In some ways, I would want to hold them both and pass on another. Howerver, tough to give up Rios I think at this price.
Thanks guys, I think i'm going to go with Rios and i'd love to possibly pass on another and keep both but i'm not keeping Rios over Posey, Alvarez or McCutchen, and everyone else is under contract, so unless I make a trade, I'm stuck with them. Thanks for the help fellas.
I think it would be hard to find a hitter like Rios for $8. Although I really like Buchholtz at that price, I think you can get another decent pitcher for $3. I agree you don't keep Rios over your youthful talent.
