12 team roto keeper, keep 7. 7x7 (batter k's, OPS, Holds and K/BB are the 4 extra cats)
Here's my team:
C: Montero
1B: MCab
2B: Kendrick
3B: Zimmerman
SS: Reyes
OF: Braun
OF: Bautista
OF: Carlos Lee
OF: Carlos Beltran
UTIL: Adrian Gonzalez
UTIL: Konerko
UTIL: Coco Crisp
BN: Alfonso Soriano
BN: Desmond Jennings
BN: Hideki Matsui
BN: Edwin Encarnacion
BN: Josh Willingham
BN: Nyjer Morgan
SP: King Felix
SP: Cain
SP: Beckett
RP: Benoit
RP: Mike Bell
RP: Betancourt
P: Morrow
P: Nolasco
P: Shields
P: Balfour
BN: Slowey
BN: Saito
BN: Niemann
I've been offered:
Gavin Floyd and Chris Perez for Konerko.
I didn't draft any closers because I felt they were going too early so I loaded up on offense and SP. I feel that my bench batters can produce enough to closely replicate what I'd be losing with Konerko. The real question for me is whether I'd be getting enough back for Konerko. I'd probably drop Niemann.
What do you think?

Yeah, but why make the deal? Strategically speaking, you're going to get 1 point for the saves category whether you have your current projected 0 saves or 30 saves with Perez...
Unless this is only trade number 1 and you plan on acquiring more closers, I'd just settle with the Save category being a loss since you didn't address it in the draft.

I've actually shopped konerko around quite a bit and the Valverde owner doesn't want to make any moves right now. I plan to be very active on the waiver wire to make my team competitive in saves. I figured this would be a good start.

Yeah, I think I would do this. Perez finally looked pretty clutch at the end of last year. As long as you can get another closer at some point then it should be worth it.
Thoughts on mine?
