Rank 'Em..WHIR

Postby ABA316 » Thu Feb 24, 2011 8:05 pm

Number next to 'em is the draft pick I give up to keep them. Rank them. Did horribly last year, figuring I might contend for a 4-5 place finish.

1 Mark Teixiera
3 Brandon Phillips
5 Ryan Zimmerman
25 Jacoby Ellsbury
25 Grady Sizemore
21 Andrew McCutheon
21 Colby Rasmus
22 Austin Jackson
24 Neil Walker
25 Tyler Colvin

Leave a link.

McCutchen 21 (STEAL!!!!) :-D
Zimmerman 5 (3B is weak position depth wise, and him in the 5th rd is sweet)
Rasmus 21 (is this the year he finally busts out?)
Walker 24 (thats a steal for a 2B, who might flirt with 25 dingers? and give you modest numbers around)

I also Don't have a problem with Ellsbury @ 25, but there is health concerns, and you already have 2 OF kept.

PLEASE HELP ME:

thanks for the help with mine:

I agree that Zimmerman, Ellsbury, Rasmus, and Mccuthchen are all very good value.

Walker is a fair value at 24th....not a must keep....but he is likely better than anybody else you would get in the 24th round. Sizemore is also going for the right price. He will go much higher than that in most drafts. But he really depneds on how many you can keep. Don't keep him if it costs you the capability to keep one of the guys listed above.

I'd put McCutcheon first...in the 21st round...that's a steal!!!
Ellsbury-can't beat that price
Rasmus-will be much better than that
Jackson-ditto
Zimmerman-pretty fair value
Walker-should beat that value
Colvin-depends on how much he plays; full time he'll blow this value out of the water
Texiera
Sizemore-does he have a full-time spot, is he healthy
Phillips-too high

Please help with my post viewtopic.php?t=422669

I like these guys for where you'd be getting them. After owning Zimmerman last season, I'm a fan of him. I like Ellsbury to rebound this year IF HE'S HEALHTY and I like the upside of McCutchen/Jackson. Thanks for your help with mine.
