Need help making a counter-offer WHIR

Postby baseballcrazy » Thu Feb 24, 2011 7:59 pm

5x5 H2H

So my team is in definite need in a pitching overhaul however I'm loaded in power:
C: Carlos Santana
1B: Joey Votto
2B: Dan Uggla
3B: Ryan Zimmerman
SS: Jimmy Rollins
OF: Jay Bruce, Mike Stanton, Jacoby Ellsbury
Util: Adam Dunn, Brett Gardner
Bench: Starlin Castro, JP Arincibia, Freddie Freeman

SP: Jonathan Sanchez, Wandy Rodriguez
RP:Drew Storen, Brandon Lyon
P: Gio Gonzalez, Brian Matusz, James Shields, Ian Kennedy
Bench:Wade Davis, Travis Wood

I was offered as a counter to one of my offers this:
I get: Vernon Wells, Cole Hamels
I give: Adam Dunn, Jonathan Sanchez

Here is his roster:
C: Victor Martinez
1B: Paul Konerko
2B: Aaron Hill
3B: Scott Rolen
SS: Tsuyoshi Nishioka
OF: Ryan Braun, Carl Crawford, Vernon Wells
Util: Magglio Ordonez, Jason Kubel
Bench: Russell Martin, Bryce Harper

SP: Ubaldo Jimenez, Cole Hamels
RP: Carlos Marmol, Francisco Cordero
P: Yovani Gallardo, Joe Nathan, John Axford, Ryan Dempster
Bench: Daniel Hudson, Matt Capps, Clayton Richards

I was thinking of offering Dunn/Sanchez for Hamels/Hudson? In definite need of some advice here though. Thanks!

i actually like the trade offer ...hamels is the best player imo , and you get him...
if you do want to counter just to see what happens keep the trade hanging and ask for crawford instead of wells ...

an you take a quick look at mine...
i only had one response andf need at least one more

I like the deal as is. Wells will replace Dunn and you are getting the better pitcher in Hamels. Hamels was awesome toward the end of last year and now he'll be pitching as the 3/4th pitcher rather than the 2nd. I think he'll be better than Sanchez. If you ask for Hamels and Hudson, I think your hitting takes a pretty good hit. I like Hudson; he was great after moving the NL and should be just as good this year. However, I'd want a hitter to help replace Dunn.

Both the offer and your counter are good to me, with the offer being slightly better (hate to give up Dunn, even when loaded).

Thanks for your help!
