12 Team Yahoo points league. We keep 1 hitter, 1 pitcher. No good pitcher for me to keep but have CoGo, Votto, Longoria and R. Zim. Thinking of keeping Longoria. Have been offered Latos, Liriano, T. Hanson or Carpenter for one of my hitters. My questions: 1. Who to keep 2. Which pitcher to take and for who?

Liriano to me is a step below those other pitchers. I'd lean away from Latos as well simply because with AGon gone, wins could be hard to come by in SD. So it comes down to Carpenter and Hanson. I slightly prefer Hanson.
Longoria would be my pick for your hitter keeper.

Why is Liriano a step below?
He might be the best, but i would go Hanson by a hair.
I like Cargo, but i can see Longoria.

It's not by a lot, but I have Hanson, Carpenter, and Latos relatively close together with Liriano clearly below them. Just how I see it right now.

I'd keep Longoria because of position, and I'd trade for Hanson. It's his 3rd big season, and he's ready to make the jump. I'd think of Liriano except for his arm action is no good for his elbow, and Carp is just not someone I tend to target.
It's only cheating on your favorite team if you get caught...Like the '07 Series.
I'd go with Longoria, although I can see a case for Votto (CarGo too, but prefer Votto).
Liriano would be the clear-cut keeper IMO, but keep in mind he has a sore shoulder at the moment (apparently it's not a big deal at this point). Otherwise, I don't think you can lose with either Hanson or Latos. Not a Carpenter fan, personally.
Longoria is the keeper here due to position scarcity. I like Votto almost equally but he is at a position with a little more depth.
Especially in a keeper and with the Cardinals leaning on Carpenter more with Wainwright out for the year, I would go with Hanson. Latos is also in contention there given his pedigree, but Hanson has done it for a couple of years and has a strong lineup around him this year.
Napoli Howard Kinsler Zimmerman Andrus Kemp, Gutierrez, Cruz (DL), Soriano, Bay, Abreu A.Gonzalez, I. Stewart Halladay, Marcum, Kuroda, B. Anderson (DL), Leake, I. Kennedy, C. Lewis, Pelfrey, C. Richard, Slowey, B. Wagner, H. Street, O. Dotel, J. Axford.

I completely agree on Hanson and Longoria. You can't go wrong with CarGo but he has less of a track record and and OF is generally deeper.
Hanson and Longoria, but I'd shop some of those bats for another arm first..don't think Hanson will be bad but never hurts to try versus throwing all those bats back.
