Can a team win with Nick Johnson starting at 1b this year?
He's such an intriging player as he has a great plate precense and will be playing in the little field for about 20 some games.
What i'm hoping for is 305/25/90
But what i think he is capable of is 280/15/70 35 games missed with bad wrist
What do you guys think and is anyone like me and relying on him?

I agree with you. I am somewhat optimistic though, because his surrounding cast in Montreal is better than you think, and between Olympic and the San Juan stadium, he will benefit from a park effect that he second only to Coors.
The guy I think might be a real bargain, though, is Wilkerson. He is leading off and has an everyday gig for the first time. If he can raise his average a tad, he will be fantasy gold.

You might be a little high on projections. But, he won't be far off that. Solid.
As long as you make up your power somewhere else.

will he stay heathy for more than 1/2 the season? That is the better question.

A team can win with anyone starting at 1st, depending on your team. if the rest of your team is good, nick johnson is fine. If you are counting on Nick Johnson to carry your team, you may want to rethink.

I'd be surprised if he didn't hit .320 with 15 home runs. He's completely over the broken wrist that forced him out of games last year.

I'm in a points league, so his BB/K ratio should help a lot to right? Or are pitchers going to go after him more then in NY? I would assume he's going to get walked more as he doesnt have the luxury of his old lineup
