Prince for Kemp

Should I deal Prince Fielder for Matt Kemp? Right now were talking a straight up deal, but I was thinking maybe he should add in something smaller because I value Fielder a little higher than Kemp. Would you make the deal straight up? I could then trade BJ Upton along with other spare parts for a new CI. The bottom line is that I do love Kemp and have been looking to upgrade my CF slot as Upton is looking more and more like he might end end up being a bit of a bust. Let me know what you think.

I wouldn't. You have a lot of speed. You need Fielders power. I don't BJ is a bust. His power will come.

I would probably keep Prince at the moment although I like Kemp more than Fielder. If you do the trade, I doubt you get anything added to the trade considering Kemp is being drafted as a top 15 player and Fielder is closer to a 3rd rounder.

If you want to make a move, I would look at upgrading your LF more than your CF. I don't consider BJ a bust but you I wouldn't expect him to become a top 20 player either. He is a good source of steals with good power and a bad BA.

I think you should stand pat on this also, unless you can work out another deal involving BJ that might help you somewhere else(particularly LF as I don't think Carlos Lee is going to make a significant impact). You also have Alvarez to slide into your CI slot to replace Fielder.
