I have two offers to make, none confirmed. Which do you think is better, 1,2, or sit tight?
1) Cabrera and Swisher/Bell (his choice) for Choo and Weaver. $$$ value equal
2) Cabrera for Fielder and swapping draft picks, my 12th for his 2nd, each round. Fielder is $10 cheaper
These are my planned keepers, 12 players (max) $128 ($130 is max) 1B M Cabrera 26 2B K Johnson 9 3B J Bautista 9, R Zimmerman 10 OF H Pence 12, N Swisher 6 P H Bell 6, J Hellickson 7, D Hudson 9 C Lee 17, B Morrow 5, A Wainwright 12
If pressed, I'd say I am higher with Choo deal, though it you had idea of who you could get at #2 I may be swayed.
I have no idea until March 1, when the rosters are cut down. I am fairly sure the #1 pick will be dropping David Wright and then drafting him back, saving $2 and also freeing up $$$ for his keepers.
i THINK ARod and Manny will be there, outside of that it is a crapshoot. But, would have the #2 pick for every round.
i might just sit tight, the first deal isnt bad but im pretty big on migz. the second deals ok but do you really need arod when you have 2 3b already? also what do you expect of prince im not 100% sold on him as a stud. i think i sit tight you have a pretty good group of keepers
thanks for the input. He is quite a player, but I don't see how I can hold onto him after this year, so now might be a good time to get value for him, sort of like a playe rin the last year of his contract.
Well, I presented offer # 1 and he came back with a counter-offer, Hellickson instead of Swisher/Bell. I don't think this is a good idea. Also, the more I thought about it, even tho I would be getting 2 good players, their salaries do not make them easy to keep for next year ($15 and $17, +$2 for next year)
