Can anyone help with the prospects drafted last year? Harper Taillon and Machado are off the board.. Mostly all the top prospects are off the board obviously.. We have 55 man rosters so you can understand that.. There are some that have slipped through the cracks but not very many.. Was thinking of taking Profar or Pomeranz but this is the first year I'm just really unsure about.. Any help would be appreciated..
I think you really need to look at Josh Sale (OF TB), Zach Cox (3B STL), and Nick Castellanos (3B DET) before Pomeranz and probably even Profar. Profar still has yet to play A ball and is at least 3-4 years away and does not project to have much above average speed or average power. I think best case he is Stephen Drew but there is a long ways before we know that and factor in the fact he may have to move to 2B to accomodate Andrus and I don't know if the value is that cut and dry.
I think Profar has to be in the conversation for your pick but also the three hitters I listed above as well. Good luck though as there were not very many can't miss types in last year's draft.
Belt is gone.. This is our 8th year so literally most every top prospect is gone.. Mostly guys from this draft are the only ones available.. Kipinis is available.. Thanks for the help guys..
1) Harper, Bryce OF Washington Nationals 2) Chapman, Aroldis LHP Cincinati Reds 3) Machado, Manny SS Baltimore Orioles 4) Taillon, James RHP Pittsburgh Pirates 5) Sale, Chris LHP Chicago White Sox 6) Castellanos, Nick 3B Detriot Tigers 7) Grandal, Yasmani C Cincinati Reds 8) Ranaudo, Anthony RHP Boston Red Sox 9) Pomeranz, Drew LHP Cleveland Indians 10) Cox, Zach 2B St. Louis Cardinals 11) Parker, Kyle OF Colorado Rockies 12) Lee, Zach RHP Los Angeles Dodgers 13) McGuire, Deck RHP Toronto Blue Jays 14) Yelich, Christian 1B Florida Marlins 15) Martinez, Carlos RHP St. Louis Cardinals
And for me, Kipnis (class of '09) slides in between Sale and Castellanos.

Thanks! Been reading a lot of good things about Kipnis and Castellanos, also Zach Lee
I like Kipnis since he is closer to the majors and more likely to realize his potential. Not only that, but I would want my 3B to have a little more power than Castellanos.
