Hey guys, sorry if this has been discussed before.. my work re-draft league is in its 5th year, and EVERY damn year they argue if it should be H2H or Roto.. so i had the idea to have Roto the first 5 months, with the top seeds going into a H2H playoffs for the final month
Turns out everyone loves it and its the perfect solution, but does anyone know of a site that hosts something like this? .. we're on Yahoo! and they don't offer anything like it
We played roto, but the commish published a weekly H2H schedule, where you would win the week 1-0, or lose 0-1. He would keep tally through out the year. The final weeks were for the playoffs and I think the payout was like 25% of the total purse for the winner on down.
with google docs, this would be very easy to track.

You have 26,000 posts...that's cool. I've been alive for 11,096 days and I feel old.
thanks wrveres.. so i guess theres nothing out there?
i can't believe my league is the only one that would want this.. i'm thinking about finding a programmer to possibly build it myself. its funny how long it takes pay fantasy sites to introduce new settings, while they charge money, they are too slow. what the hell are they getting paid for? this should've been done 10 years ago

I would actually think it would be easier to run it as an H2H league and keeping roto scores on the side (at least on Yahoo), because the total stats are now listed like they are on roto. The commish could throw the totals on a spreadsheet and update once or twice a week for the lazy. And records of both H2H matchups and total roto scores are kept, so you don't have to rely on one guy to keep matchup scores accurate but almost completely off the books.
But yeah, that's actually a really good idea, especially if it can be optimized to create less work for the commish (me). My fraternity league is having the same split in the argument, and we're making it a money league this year anyway.
