10-team H2H Yahoo! 5x5 keeper league. We can keep 5 players each year. Round 6 is conducted offline each year. Rds 7-25 are online snake draft. Roster: C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, 3 OF, Util, 3 SP, 2 RP, P, 10 bench spots (which I split 3 hitters and 7 pitchers)
- I am currently on the clock (pick #57) and am trying to decide between Greinke and Hunter Pence. Please help and I'll return the favor.
My keepers were: 1B - Mark Teixeira 2B - Ian Kinsler SS - Hanley Ramirez OF - Carlos Gonzalez SP - Felix Hernandez
- I am going to wait on a catcher until later in the draft. - There are still 4 solid 3Bs left (ARam; MYoung; McGehee; Alvarez + Sandoval) with only 3 teams needing a 3B, so I think I'll wait a round or two.
There are lots of SPs available, but SPs are always highly valued in this league and they will go fast. Available SPs include: Grienke, Jimenez, Haren, Weaver, Hanson, Carpenter, Hamels, Price, J. Johnson, Gallardo, Latos, Liriano, Billingsley, Cain, Oswalt, Scherzer, etc.
There aren't as many OFs that I would like on my team. Options include: Pence, Victorino, Ichiro, B. Upton, C. Young, Rasmus, Hart, D. Young, Granderson, Stanton, Sizemore, etc.
I'm not interested in Ichiro unless I was sure to get Stanton.
Considering how deep SP is and how many OF are already off the board (18 already drafted), it seems like I should go with Pence. However, I'm really intrigued by Greinke in the NL central. About 10% of his outs will now be against a pitcher instead of a DH. I'm 50/50 right now.

Agreed. There is still a lot of quality SP out there based on the guys you listed.
Normally I would say Greinke, but here I'm inclined to say go with Pence. Of really isn't THAT deep, so I'd target one now. Mike Stanton is definitely an intriguing name and personally, I think he should have 40 HR's this season, which would be extremely nice from an OF, especially in a keeper league.
