10 man NL Only too much?

Postby MorseOverTaveras » Thu Feb 17, 2011 10:12 pm

What is the usual cutting point in term of managers for an NL or AL only league? Would 10 be a tad too many and make the league deeper than it needs to be (not that it's a bad thing)? I have no problem scrapping the heap pile on draft day and such rounding my team out with the likes of Alex Cora and Willie Harris if need be, but will this much number of teams make make everyday managing life be too much of a hassle for other owner? I'd like to hear some of your thought and about some of the deep AL/NL leagues that you have been in.

I have played in a NL only league with 23 players and 11 owners for 16 years. If you know baseball, it makes it a lot of fun. If you are a casual fan, it isn't much fun. I just don't like a league where every player is a starter. My grandmother could be competitive in that. Even if you only have a fair knowledge of baseball, I think ten teams makes for a good challenge. These leagues that are eight team mixed leagues are just a bit too easy.

I'd guess 10 is the most common number for NL only leagues
