This is an eight league team on Yahoo. This is my first year for fantasy baseball. Thanks for any tips you can provide.
Good offense even for an 8team league, but you missed out on the best closers.
I'd drop some bench OFs like Salmon and Biggio to grab some closer candidates.
Your offense will compete, and if you get another closer and a reliable starter you might be in the hunt for the top spot.

You're solid at CF, RF and Util, but weak in LF. Maybe you could package Sanders with a few of your other guys for a bonafide LF star, like maybe Brian Giles?
You could stand some backup at SS. Cabrera is nice, but not that nice. Maybe Kaz or Crosby are still around?
Drop Ibanez, Alou, Salmon, Biggio and Traschel. Those guys didn't come close to getting drafted in my 12 team league.

Agree with the above posts. Get rid of Sanders and your backup outfielders for an upgrade. Throw in enough players so that your potential trading partner can't say no.

I'd suggest you pick up some combination of the above. The last four are all currently closing for their teams. I agree with post recommending dropping: Sanders, Salmon, Biggio, Traschel, etc.
