Should I waive Brad Penny?

Postby timkell » Thu May 23, 2002 12:03 pm

This guy has been a pain in my ... for the whole year. I'm losing my patience and he has no trade value right now.

Do you think I should waive him? I could pick up Myers, Tankersley, Carlos Hernandez, or Rafael Soriano instead.

What do you think?

If you can't shift him to the DL, yes, I'd waive him. All the pitchers you listed ar einteresting gambles at this point; I'd probably be tempted to go after Soriano.

Yes dump him. However, I am going to disagree with Arlo, and suggest Carlos Hernandez. Look at his game logs. He is pitching very well, he just isn't getting the run support. He is guaranteed a rotation spot. Soriano has the skill, but he is under the microscope with his starts.

I would go with Hernandez at first, but keep an eye on how Soriano fares. But Hernandez will give you some consistency.

I'm out! ;-D
