Posting a response within a topic

When I look at some of the responses I see that a person has "quoted" a response from a previous poster in their response. I'm thinking its probably done with the "quote button" that's available, but I don't want to be pressing a button without being sure.

Hopefully my question made sense and someone can give me instructions.

I see you did it, but don't understand HOW you did it.

Can you provide the steps please.

You see in the code box? The quote and /quote in brackets? If you hit the quote button it will put the brackets in... Just paste what you want to quote in between them. Go ahead and try it with a reply to this post.

Ok...I hit the quote button and I see your reponse above. Now I'm typing this and I will hit "submit" and see where it appears.

One more time. I hit "quote" in my previous response and then deleted my portion about where I said I was going to submit.

I posted a response about a negative experience i had with a league, and "Raiders" deleted my post? What kind of crap is that, Listen, I LOVE "The Cafe". LOVE IT. But why are MOD'S deleting posts which can be helpful to other potential owners. I feel like I am respected in this forum. I have gotten a lot of positive feedback for members. I feel to a certain extent my opinion cares some weight. I just got disrespected....
