The hitters are used to zito's curveball and that has been the key to his success................


As long as Hudson doesnt get injured, he will definetely put up better #'s.............

Last year Hudson had a season that was even better than Zito's 2002 Cy Young contending season.

Hudson in 2003 -
2.70 ERA, 1.07 WHIP, 162 Ks, 240 IP

Zito in 2002 -
2.75 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, 182 Ks, 229 IP

Hudson's numbers are getting better every year while Zito's numbers last season left a lot to be desired.

Hudson: 16-8 2.88ERA 150 K's
Zito: 15-8 3.15 ERA 170 K's

Pretty much the same, in my opinion. So whomever is cheaper is the one I would want. And in this case Zito will go for less in an auction.
