ESPN's Closer Depth Chart might be a good place to start your research:
http://sports.espn.go.com/fantasy/baseb ... erorgchartIn general, the guys in the "Next In Line" column are going to be in the best position for holds, but a number of guys in the "Stealth" and "Looming" columns will be, too.

Looking at last year's hold leaders is a good way to over pay for holds guys and end up disappointed.

There is a reason they say don't overpay for holds. Usually if you keep an eye out you can find someone better than whoever was projected to have holds before the season. I keep my rps for holds on cheap contracts so I can cut for someone else if they aren't cutting the mustard

I am in a 6x6 league where SV/Holds are 1 category.
It's an auction league so I am hoping some people will overpay for closers which are completely useless IMO.
Anyone have a projection list or thoughts on top holds guys for 2011?

Thinking about doing the same thing this year or at least not drafting them until the final rounds. Seems like there are always guys (like SP's) that come out of now where. Rather spend a pick on a bat or SP.

do not draft a holder until your last few rounds. ive being playing holds for about 5 years now...every year i draft the top guys from last year and they end up doing nothing. why? i have no idea. but holds seem to have no consistency or level of prediction.
just ride the hot guy each week and cross your fingers
