Support is all luck. Even sp on bad teams can get more support then sp on good teams.
Weaver has more years and is cheaper. Weaver easily.

I think I like weaver at more years and cheaper money also. He will be pitching to get his first big contract in the next two years and he has proven himself to be a solid starter. You can spend the other money elsewhere.

Because of the scenario you listed, take Weaver.

Baseball is a game where a curve is an optical illusion, a screwball can be a pitch or a person, stealing is legal and you can spit anywhere you like except in the umpire's eye or on the ball. ~Jim Murray

For those prices and years, I'd take Weaver over Lee without a second thought.

Jared just had some bad luck last year, the Angels ate some Subways this offseason despite them losing out on a few FAs they still are better off this year than last, his win total will go up making him a top 10 pitcher just behind Lee and getting him 2 years = money.

I like Lee quite a bit, but for the price difference alone, you have to go with Weaver.
